Inter Miami v Montreal MLS preview
Inter Miami will look to end their poor run of form when they welcome CF Montreal to Nu Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday.
Inter Miami remain in a strong position in the MLS Eastern Conference despite their recent struggles.
The Herons sit second in the standings, although they are 10 points behind leaders Nashville, while they are also third in the Supporters’ Shield standings.
Guillermo Hoyos’ side still have plenty of time to improve their position, but they head into Sunday’s fixture after suffering a 2-1 defeat away to Toronto last weekend.
That result extended Miami’s winless run to five matches in all competitions, with four defeats during that spell.
However, the hosts can take confidence from their recent record against Montreal, having avoided defeat in each of their last four meetings with the Canadian club.
The visitors have also endured a difficult spell after changing managers during the season, with Philippe Eullaffroy replacing Marco Donadel.
Eullaffroy has strong links to Montreal, having previously worked as the club’s founding academy director before later taking on the role of Head of Methodology and Performance at Lyon.
However, his time in charge has so far produced mixed results, with Montreal winning seven of the 17 matches played since his appointment.

Inter Miami v Montreal prediction
Inter Miami’s recent form makes this a difficult game to predict, but their record against Montreal gives the hosts reason for optimism.
The Herons have scored more goals than any other side in MLS, and their attacking quality should allow them to find the net several times.
However, their defensive problems could give Montreal opportunities of their own, meaning the visitors may be able to keep the contest close before Miami eventually edge the game.
